Last week, the boyfriend brought some apples back from his parents garden.  Earlier this week I made a quite delicious apple crumble, and today, inspired by The Thrift Book, I made my very first attempt at home made jam.  I used this recipe.  It was so easy, and although it looks a bit weird (I didn’t have enough caster sugar, so used some demarra as well), it is absolutely DELICIOUS.  If we get more apples before Christmas I might just have to get some lovely jars and make some jam to give people as gifts…
